The Warehouse of the Dead, one of the main settings in The Maelstrom Mission, is your worst nightmare, come true.

It's the place Maelstrom uses to store all the victims of the world's natural disasters.


So don't even go there, okay? The place is full of dead people. Actually, some of them are quite nice. Good sense of humour. Well, you have to see the funny side of things, if you're dead.


You aren't dead, are you? Not as far as you know? Great. The bad news, unless you're a Goth, is that you will be dead one day, sooner or later, by some means or the other. But whatever method of despatch the Grim Reaper has got lined up for you, one thing's for sure, you won't know what the heck's hit you.

Like the poor souls in the Warehouse.

Now, there they lay, stack upon stack on the Warehouse’s shelves, like dry cleaning someone forgot to collect, wondering what hit them, dreaming up ways to pass Eternity …

And if that wasn’t indignity enough, every day they have to suffer the endless monkey-like chitterings of the Warehouse’s workforce, the dribbling moronic Stupid Morons, while, from high up on a balcony, Maelstrom gazes down with a satisfied grin as more and more of the Dead arrive, in an endless stream …

What does the Warehouse look like? A bit like your local B&Q DIY store, or Wal-Mart.

Where is it located? No one really knows, but it is rumoured to be somewhere in that mysterious zone where aircraft and ships inexplicably disappear, the infamous Bermuda Triangle.

Not that you should go looking for it, any time soon, unless, of course, you have a Death Wish ...
